Temple of Heaven Gunpowder Green Tea gets its name because of how closely the rolled up leaves resembles the fine grains that of gunpowder. The leaves are rolled into pellets that unfurl during the steeping process. Rolling the tea leaves also allows them to keep more of their flavor and aroma. Temple of Green Tea has a sweet and slightly nutty taste making this the perfect green tea to become an everyday staple.
It is recommended to use 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of leaves in 6 oz of water heated to about 176° degrees for 1 minute for the 1st and 2nd steeping and 2 -3 minute for the 3rd and 4th steeping.
